Mark's Gospel Sequence

This sequence comes out of the Manuscript Study of the Gospel of Mark, first pioneered in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship by IVCF staff Paul Byer. Richard Lamb studied under Paul Byer back in the early 1980s, and he has studied it with students, campus staff, church leaders and others now for about 40 years, spending over 1000 hours in the study of the gospel of Mark alone. These sketches are far from an attempt to reduce the gospel's rich complexity to 22 pages of reflections, but are an attempt to open up the might and beauty of Mark's Gospel, Peter's witness, to those would follow in the footsteps of the Peter who said yes to Jesus 2000 years ago, to the invitation to follow him his whole life long. What are the costs and the benefits, the risks and the rewards of discipleship? Take a journey through the gospel of Mark to find out! Download the entire sequence.

More Topical and Biblical Sequences

The Sketches of Leadership are modular and flexible and do not need to be delivered in any particular order, so an experienced trainer can use them in their own context with maximum flexibility. However, some sequences of Sketches have a logical progression and topical continuity.
